The role

As Head of Corporate Communications, you will build and convey the image of Alimak Group's current and future operations to strengthen our brands and promote Alimak Group as an employer of choice. You will develop the group wide communication strategy, and then work with the business to implement the key objectives and deliverables. You will write and coordinate the quarterly reports and project manage the contributions the group's annual report. You will also be responsible for managing the internal communication across the business. This role will have a direct report that will focus on provide support across the communication area, with focus on the internal communications field. The purpose of the role is to contribute to a positive image and increased interest in the company, both externally and internally.

The company is in an exciting phase of transformation and change, where mergers and acquisitions are on the agenda, and naturally the need for communication will increase and is key to continued success. You will report to the CEO and are part of the management team. The role will have close collaboration with the CFO, CTO, EVPs and Chief People & Culture.

We operate in an agile environment and to succeed in the role, you must like a fast pace and be open to change and the opportunities that arise. You need to be proactive in identifying and implementing communication improvements across the constantly changing business environment. You will need to engage and lead a high number of stakeholders in the new communication processes and have a strong understanding of global cultures and the needs of these stakeholders. As the role is partly new in its design, you have great opportunities to adjust it yourself for the best results.

Main tasks

  • Develop the group communication strategy in collaboration with management, including a channel strategy to ensure all stakeholders are engaged

  • Proactively manage press and media in connection with quarterly reports, annual reports, acquisitions, and other company news in order to build and strengthen Alimak group’s brand

  • Produce key messages across a broad range of activities that involve corporate communications, CEO messaging to the external market etc

  • Responsible for the group's external website

  • Be responsible for the group's social media policy and increase interest in the company through these platforms

  • Provide media training to prepare colleagues for interview situations or speaking opportunities

  • Be a communicative support for the CEO and produce presentation material

  • Act as a writer yourself for various types of texts that are used both externally and internally

  • Be a strong ambassador internally

  • Participate in the crisis management group

  • Support and be a sounding board in the internal communication work and in the employee branding work

  • Work with sustainability communication in collaboration with the CTO

  • Write quarterly reports and present them together with the CEO, CFO and the group's financial team

  • Act as writer for and project lead the annual and sustainability report internally and externally

  • Actively participate in the group leadership team

  • Actively participate in crisis management and crisis communication

  • Personnel responsibility for one internal communicator

Candidate profile

Experience and profile

  • Experience of having worked with communications for a listed company, either as a consultant or in-house

  • Competence in financial communication.

  • Interest in communication within sustainability is a merit

  • Excellent in both written and verbal skills in Swedish and English

  • Academic degree or equivalent.

  • Experience from the manufacturing industry is an asset

  • Skillful in Microsoft office and Sharepoint.

To succeed in this role, you have previously worked with Corporate Communications either at a company and/or at a communications agency. You like to work proactively with PR and are capable of handling the media. You thrive in a role where you work both strategically and operationally and above all you are a team player who makes things happen. You are self-motivated, quick, without prestige, have good cooperation skills and are diplomatic.


Placement at Alimak Group's head office in central Stockholm, a small office with around 20 employees. The remaining approx. 2,100 colleagues, which will soon be 3,200, are spread across the world and "teamwork over Teams" is therefore a natural way of working.
